Chile gets ready to host LatAm’s largest MICE showcase

The Chilean capital is getting ready for the 12th version of FIEXPO Latin America, the largest MICE-industry trade fair in Latin America and the Caribbean, which will take place June 10-12.

This year’s FIEXPO coincides with the “changing of guards” with regards to host countries, with Chile transferring the role to Colombia after a cycle of three years.

One of the main features of the event is a series of business meetings to promote networking amongst guest buyers, commercial visitors, exhibitors, and over 60 government representatives from throughout the Americas.

The fair will offer keynote presentations and forums on topics such as Emergent destinations vs. capital cities; the convergence of international associations and organizations on the same path, and tourist services vs. meeting services.

It is important to mention that a series of complimentary events, such as the ICCA / ASAE Lab for trade associations, the ICCA Business Exchange, and the Next Generation Summit, will take place prior to FIEXPO’s official opening.

The organizers of this year’s FIEXPO Latin America have been able to muster a panel of world-renowned MICE industry experts. They are Didier Scaillet (Belgium), CEO of SITE Global; Christian Mutschlechner (Austria), regarded as one of the world’s most renowned MICE professionals, and Sherrif Karamat (USA), Executive Director and chairman of PCMA.
