Thanks to its geographic position, the country has coasts on both the Caribbean as well as on the Pacific. The most developed coast with regards to tourism is the Pacific’s, starting from the area of Veracruz, which is only 15 outside Panama City, close to the Canal entrance. An hour and 30 minutes’-drive from that point will take visitors to the Pacific Riviera, with over 10 hotels, most of which offer all-included services, golf courses, and luxury facilities, in addition to a nearby international airport. Getting there is rather easy, via the Pan-American Highway, a four-lane thoroughfare.
