Says Hotel Hilton Panama: “PGA Latin American Tour will reinforce Panama’s visibility on the golf map”

The most important golf circuit of the region, the PGA Latin American Tour, will start this month at Buenaventura Golf Club of Panama’s Pacific coast, according to a recently issued press release by Hotel Hilton Panama, one of the event’s sponsors.

The bulk of the tournament, which will include 17 official matches, will take place between March and early June of this year with the presence of 144 of the best golfers of the Americas, such as Tano Goya and Augusto Núñez (Argentina), Mito Pereira (Chile), Isidro Benítez (Mexico), Ricardo Celia (Colombia), Juan Álvarez (Uruguay), and Jared Wolfe, Evan Harmeling, Jacob Bergeron, Sulman Raza, and Patrick Flavin from the United States.

Eliana Onsalo, Marketing Manager of the Hilton Panama, stated, “The core of our business is to promote the multiple opportunities Panama provides for its visitors. This time, being a promoter of sports tourism through such an important golf tournament is the perfect opportunity to strengthen the country’s visibility on the golf map”.

The PGA Latin American Tour, which returns to Panama after nearly three seasons of absence from the schedule of golf tournaments, offers prizes per stroke-play amounting to US$175,000, of which $31,500 will be delivered to the champion. The tourney will include a mid-season match-play with prizes amounting US$125,000, of which $30,000 will go to the overall winner.
